Happy New Year to You!
Let the resolution season begin!
We’ve all been there: declaring bold New Year’s resolutions and then… quietly pretending we never said them. or barely making it past January 3rd. Whether it’s aiming too high or choosing the far more tempting “I’ll start tomorrow,” it’s perfectly human. Also perfectly exhausting. Would you agree?
Here at CreoPark, we’re no saints either, however we did manage to change some things over the New Years, as a team, and as service providers. We’ve even helped quite a few clients to change their clients’ ways. 🙂
So yes, we’re proud to say we’ve freed ourselves from:
- Thinking that clients change requirements to annoy us.
- Assuming the problem is the user… (We oftentime work with somebody else’s code, and believe us, it is very often the code)
- Working without documenting – yet it remains a bold, unrealistic dream for many
- The urge to rewrite everything from scratch… at least once a week 😉
- Flinching when a client wants to ‘just add one more feature.’
We can share our wisdom in other workspace areas too ;):
- How to survive the great email avalanche, that is the post-holiday inbox explosion.
- How to overcome a “my system isn’t working” wave of January comebacks.
- How not to forget all your passwords over the holidays.
- How to organize your files, so there is no more “New_Final_V2_REAL” stuff around.
- How not to forget to send New Year’s mail to all concerned.
That’s us and maybe you. But imagine — just imagine — how wonderful our lives would be if hardware made New Year’s resolutions too, for all our sakes:
- I will NOT crash during peak hours.
- I vow to stop asking for updates at the worst possible moment.
- I’ll keep the fans quiet,
- I’ll stop pretending the storage is full when it’s clearly not.
- and the absolute dream: This year, I’ll run smoothly… even on Mondays
As for the private resolutions — you’re on your own. Be the judge of your own “possibles.” And feel free to ask us how! 😉
Happy 2026, everyone!
Here’s to a genuinely good year!
