Background

Solberg Mek. Verksted AS required a modernised corporate website that clearly presented the company’s services and products while improving usability across devices. The project also aimed to prepare the platform for potential future online sales, without introducing a full e-commerce solution at this stage.

Challenge

The existing website required both a visual and technical upgrade to enhance user experience, particularly on mobile devices. Additionally, there was a need for a structured presentation of a growing product catalogue, including products sold via the third-party marketplace FINN, while maintaining a cohesive and professional visual identity.

Approach

The project began with planning and requirements mapping to define key user groups, including farmers, lessees, and industrial clients. Core functionality was clarified early in the process, such as product presentation, contact flows, and mobile responsiveness.

The design phase focused on a clean and minimalist expression aligned with the client’s agricultural and industrial context. UX and UI concepts were developed in Figma prior to implementation.

The website was built in WordPress using Breakdance as the page builder and WooCommerce as the foundation for the product catalogue. The solution provides a flexible structure with the option to expand into a full e-commerce platform in the future. Particular emphasis was placed on performance, accessibility, and responsive behaviour across devices.
